Services We Offer

Evaluations

At C&C Therapy, our skilled associates conduct a comprehensive array of assessment services tailored to meet the distinct needs of our clients. We employ a diverse range of assessment methods, including standardized tests, informal evaluations, observations, and detailed reviews of medical and developmental histories to provide us with a thorough understanding of each individual’s strengths and challenges in order to design comprehensive and effective interventions.

Evaluations vary in duration, from 90 minutes to five hours, depending on the complexity and depth of the concerns presented. Concise assessments, targeting specific areas, may encompass one to two skill domains, such as speech sound production paired with phonological processing or reading and spelling accuracy in addition to phonological skills. Conversely, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations entail a thorough exploration of multiple facets of communication and cognition, including speech sound production, vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, phonological processing, auditory memory, narrative language, reading and writing proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and pragmatic language skills.

The outcomes of our evaluations serve as the foundation for targeted interventions and may offer valuable insights supporting the diagnosis of speech, language, and/or literacy impairments. At C&C Therapy, we are committed to delivering personalized assessment services aimed at promoting optimal communication and literacy outcomes for our clients.

Our associates build upon each student’s strengths to address weaknesses, use a variety of strategies and approaches to build skills, and are active members of every client’s team, working towards their development. We pride ourselves on staying current with research and using evidence-based practices to best support your child.

Academic Year Programing

  • Location: Individual therapy sessions can be conducted in our welcoming clinic location, in schools (provided they allow outside providers in), virtually, or in your home (depending on location and availability).
  • Session Length: Therapy sessions during the academic year are typically 55 minutes in length, but please inquire if you are interested in shorter or longer sessions.
  • Frequency: Most students benefit from one to two sessions per week. However, more intensive scheduling options can often be accommodated. We do not offer services on an ad hoc basis or for infrequent sessions (such as once or twice per month) because consistency is key to achieving progress.
  • Schedule: Sessions are scheduled at the same time each week to provide a predictable and stable routine, which is crucial for effective therapy.

Intensive Summer Intervention Program

We recognize that scheduling and committing to weekly therapy sessions during the summer can be challenging due to camps and vacations. To accommodate our clients’ busy summer plans, we provide the same high-quality individual therapy in a condensed, intensive format. Between June and August, Communicate & Connect Therapy offers an intensive intervention program for students from preschool through college age who are struggling with language, reading, writing, and executive function skills. This tuition-based program includes 20 hours of individualized one-to-one intervention spread across two, three, four, or six weeks. Selected weeks do not have to be consecutive. As a general rule, we do not offer weekly sessions throughout the summer months.
